WEB Brownsville is mentioned in Episode 3 of the Outlander television series. In the episode, Jamie and Claire Fraser are traveling through the mountains when they come across a group of men who are attacking a woman. Jamie intervenes and saves the woman, who turns out to be a Cherokee woman named Geneva Dunsany.
Geneva tells Jamie and Claire that she is from Brownsville, and that she was traveling to visit her sister when she was attacked. Jamie and Claire agree to escort Geneva back to Brownsville, and they arrive in the town the next day.
