Arizona ace exits with left hamstring tightness
Bumgarner, Megill to start final two games
Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Merrill Kelly departed his start against the Texas Rangers on Sunday with left hamstring tightness after recording two outs in the fifth inning. He allowed one run on two hits and a walk while striking out four batters.
Kelly is 12-5 with a 3.14 ERA in 24 starts this season. He has allowed two runs or fewer in 18 of those starts.
The Diamondbacks announced that Madison Bumgarner will start Monday's game against the Rangers, and Ryne Nelson will start Tuesday's series finale.
Kelly is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.
